Thursday Thoughts

1. Fuller House will be finally put on Netflix this weekend! I am so excited to binge watch because Full House was my absolute fav show as a kid.

2. Kate from Lonestar Southern wrote this great post about Spring Break finds for under $50. Loving the striped sundress from her list.

3. The Oscars are this Sunday. I'm so excited to see tons of gorgeous dresses!

4. If you didn't check out my awesome & easy Pina Colada smoothie recipe read it here.

5. Old Navy has new arrivals for spring! This Jersey Swing Dress in hero blue would be super fab with a statement necklace, don't you think?

6. I'm thinking of doing a monthly wrap up from now on where I'll talk about what I accomplished during the month, and give an update on my 101 in 1001 status.
Is this something I should do?!?
Let me know below!

Cheers!

Motivational Monday

I can't even express how important I think this quote is, especially because it is 100% true. Whether it be school work, sports, and blogging, it truly is an amazing feeling to accomplish something after hard work.

Sadly, I have to go back to classes this week, and will need a little bit more motivation than usual. But on the bright side, lacrosse starts this week! I am beyond excited to actually start the season, especially after putting in countless hours at the gym preparing.

Also, I'm starting my second job this week so I am even more glad that I finished my homework way ahead of time. Although it will be a challenge to juggle everything on my plate, I know that when everything is over, I'm going to feel very happy with my accomplishments!

Do have anything exciting happening this week, or any tips on how to help juggle all my activities? Let me know below,
Cheers!

Best Piña Colada Smoothie Ever

So the weather might be a little on the chilly side (single digits for New York!), but nothing makes me think of summer more than a Piña colada smoothie. Ahh, how nice it is to have visions of the warm sand at the beach, and be sipping one of these in a sundress?!? Although it's a stretch in February, this smoothie is amazing nonetheless.

This recipe is simple, quick, and beyond easy to make. It makes three large servings, with 395 calories per serving. The great thing about this smoothie is that if you're a busy morning person, and don't have the time for a sit down meal, you won't be starving all morning.

To start, you'll need:
2 cut Frozen Bananas
1 can of Coconut Milk
1 can of Chunk Pineapple
Whipped Cream for topping (optional)

Drain the juice from the canned pineapple so only the chunks remain.
Next combine the pineapple, coconut milk, and bananas in a blender.

Blend for 1 minute or until there are no more banana and pineapple chunks left.

Pour yourself a nice big glass, and add whipped cream for the finishing touch!

Easy, right? It's also super healthy, and great for on the go. let me know if you try it!

Cheers!

Thursday Thoughts

1. Beyond jealous of Carly from The College Prepster. She had an awesome opportunity to view the Kate Spade presentation in NYC for Fashion Week. Read about the experience here.

2. This week I went to see How to Be Single, and wasn't exactly wow'd. It's still a nice movie, but not one you watch multiple times.

3. This post about how technology might be ruining our lives is pushing me toward unplugging for a weekend very soon. (possibly when things warm up a bit?)

4. I am only halfway through my homework that I want to accomplish for this week, why does physics have to be so difficult?!

5. In love with this Scallop Bikini Top, and even more in love with its mint color.

6. I am so excited for this weekends wintry activities, and I have a new appreciation for snowy landscapes, hence the picture above.

7. I requested a bunch of stickers from different companies back in December, and they're slowly starting to come in now. I absolutely love getting mail, especially when there is cute stickers inside!

Any cute companies that you recommend to request stickers from? Please let me know!

Cheers!

Motivational Monday- Tuesday Edition

(Via)

Okay, I know it's not Monday, but for me, the Tuesday coming back from a Monday off is always difficult. So I felt as if we all would need a little bit more motivation on Tuesday, than on a Monday off.

This week I have off of classes (I don't know anyone else that has off, but hey I'm not complaining!) Yesterday was spent recovering from a very fun weekend with friends, but the remainder of this week will include buckling down on school work. At the end of the week, I'm going sledding with a couple of friends to relax and reward myself for (hopefully) finishing two papers and a bunch of physics problems.

Lastly, I'm trying to knock a few things off my 101 list. Snowy cold weather calls for some Netflix documentaries.
Anything exciting going on for you this week? Any suggestions on a good documentary to watch? Let me know!

Cheers!

Thursday Thoughts

1. I found out that I made the Dean's List for the fall semester!

2. Fran has an awesome post about last minute Valentine's day outfits. My favorite is the Knit-A-Line dress.

3.Valentine's Day is this weekend, and I'm making chocolate covered strawberries later (why pay $30 for 12 berries when you can make a 4 dozen for that price?!?)

4. Check out some of Target's Oh Joy! collection.

5.I watched the documentary Dior and I last night, and loved it. Even though I normally don't like films that switch between languages, the french narration sounded so pretty.  (With English subtitles of course!)

I plan to spend this freezing weekend snuggled up watching movies. Any recommendations for other good documentaries on Netflix right now? Let me know below!

Cheers!

Motivational Monday

(Via)

How is it the second Monday of the month already?!?
I am very fortunate, because after finishing this week of classes, I have an entire week off. It will be super nice to get ahead on homework, and attempt to start studying for the few exams I have when the break ends.
As for this week though, I will be busy studying for a Chemistry test on Friday, finishing the last of the preseason workouts for lacrosse, and also preparing for Valentine's Day.
Although I'm not doing anything special, I love to make chocolate covered strawberries & pineapple each year, sooo delicious!
Any plans for Valentine's Day, or this week in general? Let me know!
Cheers!
